How many treats should I give my dog?

We know - those eyes are impossible to say no to. But just like with us humans, dogs do best with a little balance. Treats are for spoiling, rewarding, and bonding - not for replacing meals. As a general rule, treats should make up no more than 10% of your dog’s daily calories.

Here’s a quick cheat sheet:

  • Small (under 9kg): 1–2 small treats
  • Medium (9–22kg): 2–4 treats
  • Large (22–40kg): 3–6 treats
  • Giant (40kg+): 4–8 treats

🦴 Training? Go for low-calorie rewards and count them in the daily total.

Gave a few extra “just because” treats? Totally fine - just scoop back a little from dinner to keep things balanced. Every pup is unique, so keep an eye on their weight, energy, and digestion. When in doubt, your vet’s your best buddy.
